I’m a Mac ?
My boss came in the other day, he had just bought an iTouch, he posed the question, “Hey Mac user, which programs do you use for these things”. I nicely answered and gave him a couple of suggestions. Then I started thinking, Am I a Mac user? Technically I could be considered a Mac User. I have a MacBook Pro but its used mostly for Windows XP, but never really consider myself a Mac User. Personally I always liked the Bill Gates and Jerry Seinfeld ads.
My basic philosophy is that Video, Audio and Pictures are done in the Apple OS. Everything else that makes money is on the Windows Side. Throwing Linux in the mix I guess I have a cavalcade of choices.
I never got into the I’m a PC, I’m a Mac or Linux will free your soul arguments. I always took the best of each platform and used it to its strengths.
The secret is you can’t have any preconceived conceptions going into a project, if you do it will be doomed. The classic lines, “Oh I had to get one of these things because everyone else is using them”. Obviously this will not work out, if will be destined to failure.
You can take that advice to any situation in life, for example the Universal Health reform act.
Sigh
