I have been talking to a few P.R. firms lately and the one thing that keeps coming up and kind of caught me by surprise was how many of them are doing Public Relations for a Company’s Lawsuit. Basically a firm is suing another firm and they hire the P.R. firm to get the lawsuits in the newspapers, magazines and online. That is crazy, looks like companies are using the courts to help their bottom line not for justice.
The one or two people out there that have a Palm Pre may have noticed that the latest version of iTunes blocks their access to the iTunes application, which it says right in their application notes. What’s funny is that no one has batted an eye. You may remember that years ago when Microsoft was coming out with a new version of DOS, there where rumors that the saying was “DOS aint done till Lotus don’t run”, which was a reference to Lotus-123 not being able to run on DOS. They still get bad press for that to this day. Here Apple is publicly stately they have blocked access to a device that was working and no one says a negative thing.
