Radio Becoming Acceptable?
So I’ve noticed something since the CD player in my car has been broken and im too lazy to fix it. Maybe about 3-4 years ago, I hated the radio. There was too much talk, I tuned to any station and it’d be an ad or someone talking about how somebody is dating someone else.
I didn’t really care for it much, I truly hated the radio. Im waiting through 35 minutes of talking to hear two songs which, there was a good chance, it wasn’t the two songs I wanted to hear. But now it seems that things have changed. Radio is almost good again. Some of the music but more about how much music they play. It seems that ever since our economy has been on the downfall, people aren’t running as many ads. So almost every radio station now has a 30-40 minute “block” of nothing but music. You actually get a decent amount of music for once.
Theres no more waiting, or getting to where you want to go before the music you want to hear it back on. Its kind of nice. Im dreading the day when everyone has too much money to just constantly run ads all day and no music, because radio is almost becoming cool again.
Guess we’ll just have to see what happens with it all. Im still waiting for the day where 102.7 and 105.9 don’t play the same songs right after each other.
