It’s about time
Just a prelude to this subject, is I am a tri-computer user. I do a great deal in Windows, all my music and video work is on the Macintosh and I use Linux and I run all of these on my Apple MacBook Pro laptop.
That being said, the new Microsoft ad campaign is brilliant. It is basically this weird lady looking for a laptop for under $1000.
After this ad campaign came out, of course, all the Apple people came out of the woodwork claiming that a $600 Window laptop isn’t comparable to an Apple laptop, since the Apple has more bells and whistles. They start adding all the bells and whistles to the Windows laptop and sure enough the price gets closer. Here is my question, why does the Windows laptop have to be upgraded to an Apple status, why can’t there be an Apple computer that comes to the basic features a Windows laptop affords.
Listen, a basic laptop need 2 gig ram, 250 gig hard drive. DVD drive, wireless internet and a web cam. That all most people need, let me into the Apple store with a pair of scissors and cut off the pony tail of any Apple sales person that tries to tell me otherwise.
My daughter just called me, she wants a new laptop, an Apple, because it cool.
