Just turn it off
I had to travel up to San Francisco. recently for a day. On the airplane, in the row in back of me, there was this guy who was talking on the phone to some other guy, admiring how he was just getting back from SXSW. I immediately summed this guy up as a metro sexual. All I could think is, oh boy we are in for a fun ride. When we were all seated ready to leave you get the announcement that you need to turn off all electronic devices. When they told him a second time to turn off his computer and cell phone, this is what set him off complaining. I just wanted him to turn off his cell phone just to shut him up.
Everyone KNOWS that this rule is stupid; everyone KNOWS that it’s just a waste of time, but making the stewardess/steward jobs miserable does not really change the rules. They understand how ancient the rules are, does this metro sexual guy expect one of the people on the plane go “You are so right sir, I am going to my boss and he will change that nasty rule right now, here is your gold star, thank you for saving all these other people from the miserable five minutes on takeoff and landing of not having their devices on.”
If you really want to change something go to Washington you schmuck., I hear they are giving out checks.
After his rant he then closed his computer, and then got up and put it in his computer bag in the overhead compartment, making everyone wait some more.
