hurry up and wait
Well you knew this was coming, the Obama transition team has submitted a proposal to Congress to delay the Digital TV transition. You knew this one was coming, this is the most mismanaged thing to happen in a long time. I am torn about this one, I see the point because even tech savy people have questions, but on the other hand how long do you wait for the last 10%. I mean come one, there are some people out there who cannot even figure out how to use the butter fly ballot when voting, do you really think these people are going to figure out Digital T.V. ? Well more of my tax money out the window.
CES is this week, well aside from Windows 7 BETA going to be released on Friday January 9 and a new version of the PALM (rhymes with Yawn, well almost) operating system that is going nowhere, it was the same old stuff. I cannot even point to a major event at MacWorld that would make me want to wake up, aside from the DRM free formats finally. Take a hint, ALL the Amazon music store music is .99 and DRM free, while the Apple store songs run from .69 to 1.29. Go with the Amazon store, it takes about a minute to load a small shim program that loads automatically that connects to iTunes and after that everything is pretty transparent. Also at MacWorld you can smell the death throes of a show on its last leg.
Why is this Madoff guy still not in jail, and as a matter a fact why not him either?
A Last parting note, the time when I take economic advice from a French president is the same day that the United States stops owning money to the Chinese government.
