Give me 3rd world status
Are these One Laptop per a Child people seriously demented or just dilusioned academics ?
Amazon has brought back the Buy One OLPC and give one program, this is where you can get an OLPC laptop and the other goes to needy Spam writers in Nigeria.
The trouble is they are making me spend a total of $399. Are you kidding? Have they checked the global economy or even the price of a NetBook recently ? I can get a really good NetBook from Asus for $329 and it runs Windows, not some obscure Linux that nothing will run under.
Why cant I get an OLPC notebook for $199. Why is it only helping “3rd world people“. I know with the rising costs of everything here from Health care, Housing and being taxed for the $700 billion bailout, I could sure use some helpful relief.
I just happen to be living in the United States.
