Wifi on Airlines will fail

Sigh…

The Airlines just don’t get it.

American Airlines is planning on offering Internet access on some routes on their airlines, sounds good. But they want to charge $12.95 (USD). They didn’t learn their lessons from the overpriced phones that were on the airplanes some time back. If only they would make things more affordable for the normal traveler, people would actually use the service.

Maybe they don’t want people to use the service and just have it as a check mark for people looking for a flight ?

This wireless program by the airlines will fail at such a high price. They have to much to compete against when you have you iPod or Laptop with you or an old fashion book.

At least they are blocking Skype traffic so people can’t be chatting it up at 30,000 feet.
