Cost of electricity

We have all looked in amazment at our electricity bills lately and wondered what can I do to lower this cost and perhaps even lower my carbon foot print. The power companies billing calculations are based on a kilowatthour useage. Below is a useful link to see average cost of kWr per region in the US.

The WTI Managed Power Controller PDU records your kWr draw and allows you to see exactly what your datacenter is consuming in power and therefore costing you to keep running. With a feature called “scheduled reboot” the MPC can turn off non-critical devices during the night and/or weekends.

Below is another link for us nerds out there who forget the power converstion formulas. Very useful when wondering if adding another power drop is nessasary.
